The son to the president of Uganda General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has rubished the claims being shared on social media platforms about his death. On his Twitter account, General Muhoozi who is the only son to the long serving president of the Kenya's immediate neighbouring landlocked country has said that he is alive and not dead as some people have been claiming on social media.
"Some friends of mine like Alan Kasujja has told me that some enemies were declaring me dead, or very ill from COVID-19. I'm very well. This is the third time in my military career that enemies are claiming that I'm dead. The funny thing is every time they do that Almighty God blesses me more.", General Muhoozi said in a tweet.
The message from the only son of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni comes following reports shared on social media over the weekend indicating that he was critically ill from COVID-19 and his father had been airlifted to Germany for treatment.
The false claims about the life of General Muhoozi come a few days after he was promoted from being the Special Forces Commander to the rank of Commander of Land Forces.
