Monica Juma who was a few weeks ago shuffled to the Energy docket made her first international tour outside the county in an event that was attended by among others president Uhuru Kenyatta and several world leaders. It was her first maiden tour ever since she vacated the defense ministry and occupied her new office.
She held a successful meeting with the chairperson of the Global Wind Energy council who praised her commitment to wanting renewable energy adopted in the country. The two leaders discussed among other things how Kenya stands to benefit from wind energy which is slowly gaining attraction globally.
Kenya seems to be on the verge of adopting this form of energy since it is renewable and does not pollute the environment. Monica Juma assured the global chairman that a lot is being put in place to ensure that Kenyans adopt this new technology in the coming days.
