During his speech at orange house with delegates from Eastern regions, Raila Odinga rolled out his plan for the ukambani region if elected as president in 2022.
One of his agenda was on health as a whole. He lamented on the poor health system in kenya where the system has been turned into a private making organisation where Kenyans are denied services due to lack of money and services are rendered at a high price.
He also mentioned about the health devolution and urged that there should be supervision of county government by national government for smooth running of that system. He also said that there should be same health services in each county.
He talked about preparing the region for drought since its a semi arid region, he brought in the idea of water conservation by digging more boreholes and adoption of irrigation methods as one of the ways to keep continuous supply of food in the region.
