The High Court of Kenya's refusal to grant anticipatory bail to stop the arrest of Pokot South MP David Pkosing was seen as a major setback.
This happened as a result of rumors that the MP was supporting bandits in North Rift.
Instead, the MP was asked by Judge Diana Mochache, who issued the order, to provide the DCI and the DPP so they could address his issue with trying to avoid being detained.
On the other hand, Mochache deemed the plea urgent and set the hearing for February 23 in the Milimani Law Courts.
The Lawmaker wanted an immediate anticipatory bail to stop the police from holding him. Pkosing was detained by the police last week and sent to the DCI for interrogation.
He was informed that he is the one who finances banditry in the North Rift and employs his chopper in robberies. Yet, he has answered all of the charges leveled against him.
