Hakaimde Hichilema has now become a role model to a considerably good number of people in the world, having clinched to the position of head of state for Zambia, after 5 times of failed trials. To add sugar on already sweet honey, Hichilema has now wowed his countrymen with yet another good news that this writer believes Kenyans would wish it happened in their country.President Uhuru Kenyatta and Zambia's new President Hakainde Hichilema in Lusaka.
With the economic times of Kenyans now becoming even worse than what anyone would predict after COVID-19 strikes, many businesses are suffering closure or decreased revenue which in turn is causing massive loss of jobs across the globe. This, in Kenya has now been even catalysed to a worse end by the rising debt owed to other countries by their government, which have to be envisaged into their tax collection system to facilitate payment.
To cub the problem of unemployment in his country, Hichilema has now created the Ministry for Small and Medium Enterprise Development to facilitate growth of businesses in Zambia.
This is something that could really benefit Kenyans especially during the current times where everyone is crying lack of money in their pockets.
However, although the term for their current president, Uhuru Kenyatta is now on its end, this can only happen after next years general election.
This therefore means that they must elect a leader with same heart as Hakaimde Hichilema, whom I believe would help to take the government to the next level economically.
Meanwhile, we would like to hear from you. Do you think such a ministry is important for Kenyans? Which Presidential Candidate is best fitted to do so?
