With Kenya gradually inching closer and closer to August ninth general elections, political terrain is already abuzz with hightened political activities.Political players are in last minute push to have themselves aligned to political camps of their wishes and desire before time could run out of their way.
It was just on Sunday 23rd that Amani National Congress Party Leader Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi shook the political arena by unveiling his possible political deal with Deputy President William Samoei Ruto.
Just before the dust could settle, another pronouncement has emerged as political engagements continue to take shape. The rulling Jubilee party led by President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta has given Kenyans a promise concerning the future of the party and national politics at large.
Through its Deputy Party leader David Murathe, Jubilee party has announced that it would soon convene National Delegates Conference to chat the outfit's way forward as far as current political situation in the country is concerned.
Murathe revealed that their party's NDC would formally ratify a working deal with Raila Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement Party and eventually endorse the former Prime Minister for the presidential race since they don't have their own candidate.
The above indication brings even more clear picture that President Uhuru Kenyatta could eventually endorse Raila for presidency as has been alledged in the recent past. This move could be a game changer as the President's support and backing could highly propel Raila in his quest to become Kenya's fifth president.
As Kenyans are eagerly waiting the day above perceived pronouncement would be made, more are expected to transpire in between, especially in the President's backyard of Mount Kenya.
