New Dawn In Tanzanian As President Samia Suluhu Lifts Ban On Opposition Political Rallies.
Tanzania President Honourable Samia Suluhu has lifted the ban on opposition political rallies. This has marked a new dawn for the opposition political parties in the country.
The ban was imposed on the opposition in 2016 by her predecessor the late John Magufuli.
She declared the lifting of the ban on Tuesday at State House in Dar es Salaam where she held a meeting with a number of leaders .
Suluhu's lifting of the ban comes just two years to the country's next general elections in 2025 which are expected to be hotely contested.
