A young engineer will vie for the Kitutu Chache South parliamentary seat in the 2022 General Elections.
Cynthia Kerubo says she hopes to change the face of development in the constituency and the entire Kisii region.
The 26 year old mechanical engineer says she has always had her community at heart and has longed to transform their lives through service and leadership.
The engineer is the true definition of beauty and brains, the young and old love her as well as men and women.
The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.graduate was among the top 100 KCSE female students nationally in 2012, enabling her to join the STEM college.
Kerubo's passion for education saw her enroll for a Mechanical Engineering course where she juggled her demanding studies with student leadership.
In an interview with this writer she said she enrolled for the course to help her inspire the younger generation to reach for the highest attainable standards.
She adds, "As a woman I ventured into the tough field of engineering sciences that is male dominated and proved that a girl from Botori village in Kisii can pursue the dream, reach for the stars and break the ceiling."
Kerubo said she wants to be the first woman elected to represent a constituency in the larger Kisii region.
Kerubo has a budding engineering career and now her Community is calling her back and she is ready to give back what was given to her.
