Machakos governor Dr.Alfred Mutua has taken a swipe at deputy president William Ruto for taking the Russian Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine.

Mutua said he was surprised to see Ruto getting the vaccine for the rich instead of the AstraZeneca vaccine for the poor.

He said it was shameful on Ruto's side since he has always identified himself with the Whistler nation which is concerned about their poor.

He said the corona vaccine has exposed the deputy president and showed that he is not concerned about the poor as he purports.

" I was surprised William Ruto amepata vaccine ya wadosi isi ya wananchi wa kawaida, yet he talks of the hustler nation who cannot all afford sh.20,000 for a vaccine. How many wheelbarrows are those from a single dose, shame on you William Ruto," he said.

"Without being personal or emotional, please let me know what you think. He has goofed and exposed his real heart," he added.

Mutua said that coronavirus has made everyone equal, the rich and the poor.

He urged leaders to learn their lessons and change their way of doing things.

"Corona has made it impossible to access foreign countries for treatment, what does that show. We will have to improve our healthcare system so that both the poor and the rich can be treated here without having to go out like before," he said.
