Great commotion and strife has been experienced in downtown Nairobi as people literally ran away from the city to beat the onset of Curfew.

Forced by escalating numbers in what is now considered the Third Wave of Covid-19 infections on Friday 26 March President Uhuru Kenyatta announced new Covid-19 containment measures.
In the new measures curfew begins at 8:00pm and ends at 4:00am in Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Kajiado and Nakuru Counties. These entails a total cessation of movement by road, rail and air in and out of these counties.
The Kenya Police are notorious for enforcing Curfews.
All Curfew Passes were also effectively suspended.
While there's been mass outcry on the suddenness of the presidential directive there's justification from the runaway daily infection percentage that currently stands at about 22%.
Meanwhile President Uhuru Kenyatta led senior Government officials in taking the Astra-Zeneca vaccine jab.
The president has been reacting to apathy among Kenyans to be vaccinated while the top-brass were seemingly keeping off.
