Maina Kamanda who is a nominated Member of Parliament by the Jubilee Party has finally declared his interest to vie for the Nairobi senatorial seat. The vocal Mount Kenya ally said that he is still active in politics. Kamanda was a former Starehe Member of Parliament and believes that he can still deliver to Kenyans. During an interview with Kameme TV, Maina Kamanda stated that he is ready to serve the residents of Nairobi at a more advanced level.
He claimed that he has listened to the ground and the people of Nairobi still wish him to lead them. He told Ruto and his allies to be ready for a rude shock in Nairobi. He said that the Azimio team will take all the seats in Nairobi and give Ruto a big blow. He claimed that UDA is dead on arrival in Nairobi and Ruto's team will lose all the political seats. Several youthful leaders have declared their interest in the Nairobi senatorial seat to succeed Johnson Sakaja. Edwin Sifuna is one of the leaders who have promised to deliver to the residents of Nairobi.
