Kipchumba Murkomen is a well-respected lawyer and the current senator of Elgeyo Marakwet. He is a very close friend to the Deputy President, William Ruto. He is also a proponent of the bottom-up economic model popularized by the followers of UDA, the new party in town.
There have been accusations going around the social media that the Elgeyo Marakwet senator is on the verge of ditching Ruto and taking another political path. This information was circulated by the famous lawyer Donald B Kipkorir. This has left many believing the rumors as Murkomen has not come out clear on the matter and at the same time has not been seen on several UDA meetings hosted by William Ruto.
Murkomen has arrived today from the USA, where he claimed to be holding meetings with US members of Congress to discuss matters mutual between Kenya and the US. He said his busy schedule in the US could not allow him to engage online and respond to the accusations. He has confirmed that he still subscribes to the second in command and dismisses his opponents' information as typical propaganda.
