On Thursday, the Independent Policing and Oversight Authority (IPOA) announced it's decision to prosecute a Nairobi-based police officer, Ahmed Rashid. IPOA noted that Ahmed Rashid was guilty of engaging in extra-judicial killings.
This came a few years after videos and pictures showing the police publicly shooting to death a robbery suspect in Nairobi's Eastleigh. IPOA has noted that the case against Ahmed Rashid has been approved by the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).

A section of the netizens have branded Ahmed Rashid as the 'Savior' of Nairobi county. The netizens have noted that Rashid's bold moves of instantly eliminating thugs and robbers has helped to bring down the increasing crime rate in the city of Nairobi.
Some of the netizens made testimonies of how they once faced the wrath of the dreaded robbers in the streets of Nairobi. The netizens noted that the criminals have caused many lives of innocent Kenyans vanish in seconds and that Rashid's decision to execute them was a good job.
