A police officer in Likoni was held hostage by two thugs who were terrorizing locals of likoni,according to the officer he was making rounds and out from nowhere the two middle aged gentlemen came and told him to alight from his vehicle at gun point,scared he surrendered himsekf ands that's when they took his pistol gun which was loaded,immediately after committing the offense they fled their secene of crime heading towards likoni.
George Bamba Kingi who is a commanding officer in Likoni police station was heading home when the two approached him,according to a multi agency team that was deployed to hunt down the young men they revealed that locals should help police officers trace those who attacked a law enforcer and took his gun.
This is the second time police officers are being accosted by criminals,an incident in kakamega county saw one police officer being injured after sugar barons sent their gang to attack law enforcer's who were escorting sugar from Kakamega to Kisumu.
