As promised earlier, the ODM Elections Board has just announced the list of presidential aspirants that will battle for the party's ticket ahead of the 2022 general elections.
The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, and Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho are set to battle it out for the party's presidential ticket.
According to a local publication, the three aspirants were considered by the ODM Elections Board, being that they were the only leaders who met yesterday's deadline for submitting their applications for the presidential ticket.
Another insider revealed that the candidates are so sure that Raila has to be on the list. This is due to the fact that most of the ODM members are confident with Raila's political strength as compared to the other two leaders.
This has sparked political tensions within the party as Joho and Governor Wycliffe Oparanya were forced to miss the most recent ODM meeting which was held in Nairobi.
