Former roots Party deputy Presidential candidate, Justina Wamae has taken a swipe at Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance over high cost of power.
Justina Wamae holds that Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance is untruthful. She has posed a question if Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance can amend Energy Act 2019. Justina Wamae wants IPPs to sell power lower or same prices as KenGen. She doesn't understand why Kenya is spending alot to pay IPPs yet they are generating power using local resources such as solar, geothermal, and wind. In addition, Justina Wamae said that It's not unworthy to import something produced in Kenya.
