Parties across the country are busy carrying out massive member registration ahead of the next general election. ODM party had earlier announced a three month period for free membership in the party.
Today the party extended this free membership excercise for another three months. This free membership excercise will end on 31st December. This was announced today in a meeting chaired by the party leader Raila Odinga.
The party also addressed various issues affecting the party and of national importance. The party called for IEBC commission to increase more resources for voter registration in different parts of the country.
The senior ODM leaders warned ODM leaders opening offices without consultation with national office. They threaten to take disciplinary action to those leaders violating the party rules.
The meeting was attended by several senior ODM leaders and officials. Leaders present included Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Suna East legislator Junet Mohammed, minority leader John Mbadi, Ugunja legislator Opiyo Wandanyi among other party officials.
