Deputy President Rigathi Rigathi Gachagua is now pushing for more positions in government to be awarded to August poll losers from Mount Kenya region, reports reveals.
This is the opinion of a section of former lawmakers from the Rift Valley region who are now eying the Chief Administrative Secretary that is about to be made public by President William Ruto.
Reports reveals that the Head of State will be handed with the names that have been shortlisted by Public Service Commission before he can choose from the list.
However, the Head of State is having a tough decision to make since he is having leaders from different regions looking straight to his eyes to be rewarded.
And according to report recorded by Nation from a number of Members of Parliament from Rift Valley who they interviewed yesterday, Deputy President Gachagua now prefers people from Mount Kenya for the CAS position as he tries to build his own political base.
“The DP is using his position just to push for individuals from his region and a few outside his region because he is also building his own political base, some of us sacrificed our own political ambitions for this government to be formed,” said a former legislator from Rift Valley.
