Political tune for the heated 2022 General elections seems to be changing with interested parties restructuring their strategies. Amid anticipations of a possible Raila- Ruto Coalition, hopes for the Super alliance seem to be drawing closer to materialisation.
Just days after Orange Democratic Deputy Party Leader Wycklife Oparanya had a special meeting with Deputy President William Ruto, there is a vivid change of plan in the 2022 politics. Oparanya who was also among the bidders for 2022 Presidential race now seems to have backtracked reconsidering another better option.
According to Daily Nation, Wycklife Oparanya now eyes the Butere Parliamentary seat come 2022 after an end to his two-term service as Kakamega County Governor. This move has since sparked reactions with experts handling the matter in their own perspective. According to a possible 2022 Government team recently highlited by KTN News, in case the political plan manifests, Oparanya was to hold a Deputy Prime Minister's Seat as analysed.
According to the Building Bridges Initiative, one must be an elected Member Of Parliament to earn an appointment as a Prime Minister.
The logic is clear here, the fact that ODM Leader Raila Odinga has not yet declared his bid for Presidency also raises concerns among political experts.
This morning, the Parliament also issued a report on organising a special sitting to fast-track the process of passing the BBI bill in a statement issued by National Assembly Majority leader Amos Kimunya.
