Investigative journalist Simon Kibe of Inooro TV have covered a story of a young man who was jailed at the age of 16 years after he was found guilty of killing a man who he allegedly found in his house having fun with his wife.
Narrating his story, Edwin Kumu who hails from Machakos County revealed that his actions revolved around a beautiful girl whom he fell in love with while in high school. Their love made him drop out of school so as to chase his love who had already joined a polytechnic.
His request angered his parents but they finally accepted to fund him in the college. Edwin therefore joined his childhood friend and their love grew into new heights. They started with renting a house outside the polytechnic where they lived as husband and wife.
After completing their courses, they went out to seek for jobs and this is the time when their love started having challenges. One day, Edwin received a message from one of his close friends that there was a man who was always going to her house whenever he left.
He therefore planned an ambush and found the man in his house having fun with his wife. With the help of one of his friends, they attacked the man causing his death instantly. Luckily, his wife escaped their wrath with serious injuries.
Since he knew his action was criminal, he fled into hiding for several days but he was arrested by the police. Later, he was arraigned and in court and is currently serving a 20 years jail term.
