Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has this morning held an interview with local Kikuyu TV station Kameme TV. Speaking on Friday morning, the second in command defended the government for the rising cost of living.
According to the DP, cost of living has gone up mainly due to the global impact as well as the harsh weather conditions Kenya has experienced in the past 3 years. Gachagua blamed the drought for high electricity prices as well as food prices.

Asked why Ruto doubled the number of CAS’s with Kenyans going through a rough moment, the DP said the work is also a huge load and they needed numbers to solve the tasks ahead.
In addition, Gachagua urged Kenyans to pray for him as business moguls in the tea industry are not pleased with him. Rigathi revealed that the tea industry businessmen are only 5 and are making his life hard as they are planning on how to silence him daily.
