In the past few days, different presidential candidates have been seen putting in efforts to gain more votes in the August polls by intensifying their campaigns in the different parts of the country. Dp William has today, Friday, July 1st 2022, met the Kiambu elders from Kiambu County in a renewed bid to seek support from the vote-rich Mount Kenya region.
The elders led by Kiama Kìa Ma Chairman called Kung'u Muigai held discussions with Dp Ruto at his residence in Karen. According to the reports by the Kenya Kwanza flag bearer and the Deputy President, William Ruto the meeting was centered on the Kenya Kwanza alliance's commitment to a peaceful election.
Speaking in the meeting, Ruto said "Our commitment to a peaceful election on August 9 is unequivocal. Our elders are an integral component of this agenda," UDA supporters who were present in the meeting included , Rigathi Gachagua, Justin Muturi, Moses Kuria Kimani Ichung'wah, George Koimburi, Njuguna Wanjiku, James Wamacukuru and Simon King'ara.
