World class defender and former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star right back Dani Alves has officially announced his short term break from football, following his decision to end contract with Brazilian side Sao Paulo few days ago after the club were unable to pay him part of his salary.
Taking to his official instagram account, the 38 year old said: "I'm here to announce that I have chosen not to sign with any club for the rest of the year. I came to Brazil for a child's dream and the dream was fulfilled. Being a Champion with the heart club (Sao Paulo) is priceless."
During his two-year stay at the Cicero Pompeu de Toledo Stadium, the world class right back managed to chip in 10 goals as well as registering 14 assists, besides helping the club to clinch the 2021 domestic title and hence, building a legacy with the Brazilian outfit.
Meanwhile, according to reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano, the former Barcelona man have received a host of contract proposals from several clubs across Europe as well as in the South America and hence, it now remains to be seen where he could finally end up at when he returns to the game.
