Football Kenya Federation under the leadership of Nick Mwendwa on Tuesday 12th, April parted ways with David Ouma who was the Harambee Starlets coach.His place was taken by Charles Okere.Okere will have Godfrey Oduor as his assistant and Mildred Cheche will also be in the technical bench.
Before his appointment as starlets head coach, Charles Okere was serving as FKFPL table leaders Tusker FC assistant coach.His assistants Godfrey Oduor and Mildred Cheche were both at KCB FC where they worked as assistant coach and a member of the technical bench respectively.
David Ouma will be remembered for guiding Starlets to their first ever Africa Women Cup Of Nations (AWCON) finals in 2016.Despite the fact that starlets came out of the tournament pointless, the tournament opened ways for starlets players with most of them going international there after.
Coach Okere will be expected to guide Starlets to their second AWCON qualification.This qualification will open ways for Starlets of qualifying for FIFA Women World Cup if they manage a semi final spot in the tournament.
