According to news hitting the air waves, Kenya's 5,000m women's representative to Tokyo Olympics Agnes Tirop has been found dead in her house in Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County; reports indicate she had stab wounds in the abdomen.
It still remains unclear as to who would have taken the life of this hardworking athlete and what was the motive.
The shocking news comes barely weeks after the famous athlete made kenya proud in the just concluded Olympics.
Though kenya did not perform well. As expected, the country managed to emerge victorious in Africa after beating it's rival countries.
On this particular incident, detectives are currently digging out more evidence and all those found guilty will be Prosecuted accordingly.
This shocking death is not the first one to hit the kenyan athletics area after the worrying death of Marathoner Wanjiru under similar circumstances inside his cozy home.
