Honorable Opiyo Wandayi, who is the Member of Parliament for Ugunja constituency and also the Leader of Minority in the National Assembly, has disclosed the conditions under which Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance would resume their protests. Even though the protests have been called off, any indication of insincerity or lack of goodwill from the Kenya Kwanza side in the bipartisan talks will prompt Azimio to resume their demonstrations, as per Opiyo Wandayi's statement on Thursday.

Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio, had called off the protests on May 3, following the Kenya Kwanza government's agreement to remove MP Adan Keynan from the talks. However, it has been reported that the President of Kenya Kwanza, William Ruto, sent emissaries to Raila Odinga in an attempt to persuade him to call off the protests. Sources revealed that strategic emissaries from both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio La Umoja were in overdrive moments before Raila Odinga announced the cancellation of the planned anti-government protests.
