A newborn baby died at Kangundo level four hospital due to lack of an ambulance.
The ambulance available had no keys where it emerged that the driver goes home with the keys and he couldn't be reached at that time.
The hospital manager Loveto Evayo said that he has received several complaints concerning the ambulance driver.
He noted that investigations into the incident have begun to know which disciplinary action should be taken against the driver.
Residents have complained that the driver has a tendency of using the ambulance as his personal car thus making it inaccessible to those in need of emergency services.
On Sunday at the same hospital health workers had complained of lack of essential things like gloves and personal protective gears.
Patients were being asked to buy gloves so that they can be attended to.
The governor Alfred Mutua said the issue was accelerated by delayed resources from the national government.
He however accused some of the health officers of sabotage.
