A couple has been arrested after allegedly killing their 8-year-old daughter during a domestic fight at their home in Majengo estate, Narok County.
According to a police report, the man — in an attempt to hit his wife with a sharp object — missed and instead hit their 8-year-old daughter on the neck, injuring her severely.
The police further said James returned home at around 9pm and was served food, but he poured the stew into his wife’s plate, claiming she had served him too much.
During the argument, James lost his cool and descended on her with blows and kicks, injuring her on private parts as she struggled with him to flee.
The woman ran to the station to alert the officers who came to helped them rush the child to the Kilgoris Sub-County hospital, for medications.
Unfortunately, before reaching the hospital the girl was announced death, due to excessive bleeding.
While confirming the incident, Narok County police commander in his statements to media said the suspects have been arrested and taken into police custody, where they await to be arraigned in court once the investigation is completed.
