After many days of political tensions and uncertainties in the country as a result of the Building Bridges Initiative, the BBI proponents have today received a sigh of relief.

This is after more than 24 county assemblies have today voted in support of the Bill.

This therefore means that the country will go to a Referendum with the ball now in the hands of IEBC.

The big win by the BBI proponents has however not come as a surprise to many including COTU secretary General Francis Atwoli.

This is due to the fact that he had earlier on made a 'prophecy' that the Initiative will be voted for overwhelmingly in many counties.

While speaking to the Standard after President Uhuru's Sagana Tour, Atwoli stated that all counties in the Mount Kenya region will vote for the Bill.

Kenyans have today hailed the COTU secretary general after his prophecy has finally been fulfilled.

Taking to his Twitter account, Awtoli has tweeted his earlier declaration on the passing of BBI in Gema and this has sparked praises for him from a section of Kenyans on Twitter as seen below.
