Khalwale said Wanjigi who previously worked with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has a better understanding of politics.
His statement comes a few days after the businessman hinted he is going for presidency come 2022, and battle it out with big names such as Depuy President William Ruto, and others who will join the race.
Taking to Twitter, Khalwale has warned other Presidential candidates, including DP Ruto who already announced his ambitions, not to ignore Wanjigi.
He noted that ignoring the businessman would be a risky thing for other presidential candidates to do.
"It would be perilous for anyone to ignore Jimi Wanjigi. Having worked together for the Babaman, I know him as a man with a very sharp political mind," he opined.
The former Kakamega Senator went ahead and said even though Wanjigi has a sharp political mind, he believes it is too early for him to go for the presidency.
"However, on this one, he is punching way above his weight," he noted.
Wanjigi has been funding other presidential candidates in previous years, but in 2022, he wants to be the one firing the final shot.
