Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli once said, one hundred years in politics is like one day and one day in politics is like hundred years. Expect anything at any given time in politics. has prophecied many things and came to pass.

The veteran trade unionist has in the past made headlines due to his firm decisions as a defender of worker rights and predicting unforeseen political realignments that came to pass among them Bonny Khalwale will not be Kakamega governor.

5 months ago, Atwoli pleaded with ODM boss Raila Odinga not to leave KANU chairman Gideon Moi in One Kenya Alliance (OKA) a move that many political analysts doubted.
"Nataka nimwambie party leader wangu,Mzee akiondoka nchi hii alisema tusikuwache. Mimi nataka kukuwakikishia hatutakuwacha OKA," Atwoli once said.
Today the KANU leader has made up his mind after days of speculations that he had ditched Azimio. According to Moi, his party [Kanu] is firmly in Azimio which is led by Raila Odinga hence fulfilling Atwoli's prophecy.
