Lingard, Cavani and Other Manchester United's Players Who Are Better Than Being On The Bench

Before the International break, Manchester United struggled to find the back of the net and also in defending. Ole Gunnar does not need to sign other players to solve his problems at the club, he has all his solutions in his squad. In this article, we shall be taking a look at some players who are better than being on the bench for The Red Devils.

Jesse Lingard

The 28-year-old star revived his career last season when he moved to the Hammers on loan during the January transfer window. Since returning to his parent club he has been reduced to bench warming. This season he scored the winning goal against West Ham United and provided an assist to Ronald against Villarreal. Lingard is a world-class player and deserves to be given more playing time by Ole Gunnar.

Donny Van De Beek

The former Ajax star has been warming the bench since switching sides in 2020. The Dutchman is a talented player and can solve Ole Gunnar's midfield defensive issues. He perfectly played this role at his former club and can outshine Fred if given more playing time.

Edison Cavani

The former Paris Saint Germain striker lost his position to Cristiano Ronald. Since the Portuguese captain returned to the club the Uruguayan has been warming the bench. Cavani is well experienced and has world-class goal-scoring skills. If given a chance he can solve the club's goal-scoring issues this season.

Nemanja Matic

The former Chelsea star was one of the best defensive midfielders during his prime year. However, Matic has not lost his defensive skills and can still comfortable play as a defensive midfielder for the club. The Serbian should be given more playing time by the Ole Gunnar. He is well experienced and can control and mentor upcoming players such as Scott McTominay.
