Today members of county assembly drawn from the ruling party and KANU almost went physical when they disagreed when debating on adoption of BBI in Baringo county. Politics took the centre stage as pro and anti BBI MCAs took sides.

It was expected that after a good number of MCAs met with the Jubilee party secretary Raphael Tuju things would go smoothly when the debate about the document start today but it was never the case.

The speaker had a rough time calming down the house as the honorable members started hurling insults at one another and it took the intervention of security personnel to avert possible fights.

The MCAs in Baringo have not been united in supporting BBI and this has caused some upheavals as there are a lot of blame games. The Baringo senator was accused of steering BBI campaign in total disregard of some MCAs.

The debate is ongoing and the factions supporting BBI mostly allied to the president are monitoring the situation while the team mainly drawn from Tangatanga side are also following the proceedings.
