Wavinya Ndeti Lecturers Those Who Wanted to Stop Her Bid After IEBC Cleared Her For Governor's Race

Machakos Wiper gubernatorial candidate Wavinya Ndeti has lectured those who were seeking to have IEBC scrap off her name from the list of cleared gubernatorial candidates eyeing the seat in the August polls.

Speaking with Citizen TV, shortly after the IEBC disputes and resolution committee ruled in her favour on Sunday, Ndeti said that she is ready to serve the people of Machakos, and that those who took filed petition against her should know that she has genuine university papers.

She went on to thank God and her party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for being supportive, noting that the case did not interfere with her campaigns as she was still wooing the residents to support her.

"I do thank God because those people wanted to waste my time, I still continued with my campaigns. Baba yangu hakuuza ng'ombe apeleke ng'ombe shule 'My father did not sell his cows to take a cow to school.' They should know that I went to school. Let them now look for something else because that one has failed," she said.

The ruling come few days after Kalonzo urged Ndeti's competitor CCU's Nzioka Waita to step down in her favour, calls that the Former State House Chief of Staff dismissed saying that Kalonzo should advocate for healthy competition within the Azimio camp in Ukambani.
