Wafula Wamunyinyi Reacts After Sirisia MP John Waluke Was Release On a KSH 10 Million Cash Bail

Sirisia MP John Waluke has been released on a KES 10 million cash bail pending an appeal of his 67-year jail sentence in a multimillion-shilling corruption case.

The Appellate Court had agreed with the High Court over the Sh500M fraud charges against NCPB.

The MP was also granted an alternative of Sh20 million bond with surety pending hearing and determination of his appeal.

The DAP-K Senatorial Candidate Hon Wafula Wamunyinyi has expressed his joy after he received the news that Sirisia member of parliament Hon John Waluke has be granted bail pending determination of his case in the court.

"Received the news of the release of Sirisia MP my brother John Waluke from remand incasiration with gladness and joy.

My brother Waluke deserves justice. That 67 year jail sentence contravenes his civil and judicial rights. I call upon a revised appeal against that sentence. We as Azimio leaders will push for a fair judgement on this matter". Hon. Wafula Wamunyinyi.

I guess, His release is a key factor in Bungoma Senatorial elections to be held on December 8.
