Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has been maintaining a low key political life for the past couple of weeks, a move that had started eliciting different speculations on his next plan of action.
The strong supporter of Deputy President William Ruto affirmed that his is working with grassroot leaders to consolidate Ruto votes, revealing that Raila Odinga will be visiting the North Rift Region later this week.
He went on to welcome the ODM leader and his troops, adding that the region had made their decision of voting for Ruto in the coming elections.
"As Nandi Senator, I want to welcome the presidential aspirants who will be visiting our region very soon."
Cherargei like a number of other leaders held the view that the 2022 race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta is between Raila and Ruto, further calling the president not to have any influence in the elections.
"We all know that the real race is between Tinga and Ruto, the others in OKA are 'flower girls and page boys.' I want to tell Raila to continue his meeting with billionaires, but also allow him to engage with the hustlers."
He drummed support for the UDA Party.
