Four people are reported dead due to a fire which broke out in Mathare in Nairobi county this morning.The fire which broke out after the residents were still asleep burned down about three hundred houses in the area.
The residents have not yet discovered the cause of the fire.The residents said that the fire broke out at around 3am in the morning in the morning when the people were still asleep and this led to the fire spreading to more houses.
Four people are already reported dead at the incident.It also left hundreds of families without shelter and the other basic needs which got burned in their houses at the tragedy.Nothing was saved from the fire as the fire was spreading faster from one house to the other.
It also took long before the fire fighters came to the site.Residents are now calling upon the government to make sure that in times of such incidents,they should be the first to come to the rescue.
