He's a Coward - Gachagua Dares Matiang'i to Fly Back to Kenya

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua challenged former Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang'i, to return to the country and recognize the process by the Directorate of Felonious examinations (DCI)

Speaking during a rally on Friday, March 3, Gachagua editorialized that Matiang'i was a sissy having left the country for the United Kingdom.

He claimed that the former CS flew to escape the process as he didn't want to answer to the police over an alleged raid on his Karen home on February 8.

Gachagua advised the supporter of former President Uhuru Kenyatta to observe the process like utmost of Kenya Kwanza leaders who were reportedly bedeviled by Uhuru's governance.

" He was called to record a simple statement but he decided to flee. Did not I tell you that these people were recreants?" They came after us before the choices, but did we run? They arrested me and took down our property and we stayed put," the DP stated.

On the other hand, he maintained that the Kenya Kwanza administration would not use the police to target those who were opposed to them ahead and during the 2022 General Election.

"Matiang'i suffers from visions. He imagined the police arresting him. He thought we'd shoot the police to him as they did to us.

" He (Matiang'i) could have asked me to educate him how to write a statement at DCI," he stated.  still, according to Matiang'i's counsel, Danstan Omari, the former CS flew to the UK to attend to family matters.

He indicated that the former CS would return to the country after two weeks.

“There's nothing minatory about his trip. He's there to attend to a critical private family matter and shall return to renew his ordinary routine as a private citizen,” the counsel argued.

According to the Immigration Department, Matiang'i left the country on February 19 on board a KLM flight number KL 566 from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The airplane departed the field at 1204 am according to the flight overload.
