Today,news emerged that Dp Ruto and more than 40 Mps from Mount Kenya are having a retreat in Maasai Mara,to discuss the 2022 game plan and negotiations with the Mt Kenya Mps.The meeting is to be spearhead by committee formed by Dp Ruto led by Economist David Ndii and former CBK governor Patrick Ndung'u.
But now, President Uhuru's camp has been thrown into unease after reports of DP Ruto's meeting with Mount Kenya Mps emerged.
A close ally of President Uhuru and Kieni MP Kanini Kega,said that it was laughable that the Mps have already declared their support to Dp Ruto yet they are slapping him with demands.
He added that the only person who can negotiate for Mount Kenya people is the region's kingpin,who happens to be President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ruto's ally and Mathira MP Rigati Gachagua,blasted Kega's words.He told him off that they should negotiate with Raila Odinga or any politician whom they feel they are worth their time.
