Today, the Azimio coalition lawmakers received a huge blow following the decision made by the National Assembly speaker, Hon Moses Wetangula, following the position of the of the deputy minority whip. The Azimio coalition petitioned to unseat the bearer of that office following her decision to work closely with the government under president, Dr William Ruto. Following that petition the ruling was made today by the speaker,Hon Moses Wetangula.
Today, the Speaker Wetangula made a bold decision to retain the deputy minority whip, Hon Sabina Chege, following his remarks he argued that the Azimio coalition did not made a clear progress when unseating, Hon Sabina Chege. Hence, giving the Azimio coalition thirty days to do the necessary.
Following these decision of the speaker, hot tension was experienced in the house of law where the Azimio lawmakers walked out the parliament house.
The decision of the speaker also raised more reactions among Kenyans who failed to understand how the speaker can decide to the minority.
