The politics of this country is now taking its shape ahead of the 2022 general election. At the moment, possible political alliances are in the making with some appearing to have been established already. Today our focus will be on the deputy president Dr William Samoei Ruto's 2022 political train and strategies. As we speak Ruto already has point persons in nearly all the regions in the country. Below is an illustration done by 'The Star' newspaper showing each point person and their select region. Remember there are other allies in those regions as well.
It is most likely that the deputy president and his UDA party will pick their line up from the point persons above that will make the next kenyan government. So considering their individual influence in their select regions and if the BBI proposal is endorsed in the court of appeal, below is how they will line up ahead of the next general election.
William Samoei Ruto, he will be the flag bearer considering his current influence in the country and his position as the UDA party leader.
Mwangi Kiunjuri, he is the former Cabinet Secretary having served in the Devolution and Agriculture docket. He is The Service Party's (TSP) leader and one of William Ruto's Point men in the Central region.
Aden Duale, he is the former national assembly majority leader and the current Garissa Township member of Parliament. He is William Ruto's point man in the North Eastern Region.
1st Prime minister.
Moses Kuria, he is the current member of Parliament representing Gathundu South constituency. He is the party leader of The People's Empowerment Party(PEP) and one of the Ruto's Point men in Central region.
2nd Prime minister.
Omar Hassan, he is the former senator of Mombasa County. He is William Ruto's Point man in the coast region alongside Aisha Jumwa and many more.
Susan Kihika, she is the current senator of Nakuru County. Before joining senate, she was the speaker of the Nakuru County Assembly and so with her experience, she is fit to be the senate speaker.
National Assembly speaker.
Kimani Ichungwa, he is a member of Parliament representing Kikuyu constituency. Considering his firmness and how it articulate issues, he is fit to take the role of the national assembly speaker.
Senate Majority leader.
Prof Kithure Kindiki, he is the former senate deputy speaker and the current senator of Tharaka Nithi County. He is one of William Ruto's strongest allies from the Mt Kenya region.
National Assembly majority leader.
Aisha Jumwa, she is the current member of Parliament representing Malindi constituency. She is very vocal and fearless, therefore the position of the national assembly majority leader is her best role.
