The ODM Party Leader, Raila Odinga, received a hostile reception in Nanyuki as residents shouted Ruto's name and slogan.

This was the second day Odinga was in Mt Kenya region. On 25th September, The Opposition leader met with Members from Israels Church In Naivasha. All these are efforts by Odinga to win the block's votes and rubbish claims that he is an enemy to the Agikuyu Community. While speaking at a church function in Murang'a, ODM boss, referred to the bible scriptures 'Psalms 133:1 and Jeremiah 29:11' stating that he had come with good plans.
Uhuru's backyard has been referred to as 'vote rich'. It has more than six million votes and a candidate who receives support here has higher chances of becoming Kenya's next leader. .
