Raymond Moi, the brother of senator Gideon Moi, declared today that he would run for reelection to the parliamentary seat in Rongai. Recent opinion surveys conducted by the Mizani Africa group support this.

With a score of 45.7 percent in the polls, the KANU candidate has the greatest level of support. Despite his valiant efforts, William Ruto has been unable to fully regain control of the areas that were previously thought to be KANU strongholds for the Independence Party.With a popularity rating of 41.1 percent and a close contest, Paul Chebor of the United Democratic Alliance party is in second place to incumbent Raymond.
Andrew Kibet Komen, who is presently in position three, has 9.9 percent of the vote, with 3.3 percent of voters still unable to choose who they want to represent them in parliament during the general elections in August.
