Barely a day after death of Kenya's top athlete and bronze medalist Agnes Tirop, another athlete has been reported death in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County. Edith Muthoni a 27 year old, is said to have been hacked on the head by youthful man suspected to be her boyfriend two days ago at Kianjege East village. The man who has been identified as Kennedy Nyamu is belived to have committed the crime following domestic dispute.
The suspect said to have been in relationship with the deceased for 3years.
Agnes Tirop and Edith Muthoni are now in the of Kenyan top athletes who have been murdered in unclear circumstances. This is a huge blow to the NOCK as they have been forced to suspend their activities in the search for a long term solution.
The Netizens have been angered by the two transpiring events and now want the government to find a long lasting solution to this menace. Some had the following to say:
