Deputy President William Ruto today Saturday, 25th September 2021 continued his calculated forays into Nyanza with a bag of goodies, fundraising and empowerment rallies in his tour of Migori County.
The second in command was received by Migori Governor Hon Okoth Obado at Sony Guest House in the compound of Sony Sugar Company mills.
The Deputy President was accompanied by Members of Parliament Hon Mathias Robi (Kuria West Constituency ) , Marwa Kitayama (Kuria East Constituency) and Hon Silvanus Osoro (South Mugirango Constituency). Also present were Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu Constituency), Johana Ngeno (Emurua Dikirr Constituency), former Awendo Member of Parliament Jared Kopiyo, Omingo Magara, Eliud Owalo among others; agreed to broaden and deepen the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party’s networks in Nyanza Region.
While addressing the roadside crowd from the top of his sport utility vehicle, the deputy president spotted a woman carrying an umbrella as it was drizzling, and asked if she could pass it to him, and the woman did. The woman identified as Mackline Otieno industriously handed over the umbrella to Ruto who in return gave her Ksh 20,000 for the umbrella, while at the same time dishing another Ksh 20,000 to a middle-aged man on crutchesat the same location after a brief conversation.
