Ruto Makes a Major Move to Stop Disquiet in UDA, After Complains Emerge on Party's New Officials

After a disputed list of key party officials who were to constitute the UDA's National Executive Committee, Deputy President has moved in swiftly to calm the rumblings that had threatened to tear UDA apart

Some of the main figures who have been at the forefront of advocating the DP's race to the State House campaign in 2022 were left out on the list.

Following the move, UDA Secretary-General Veronica Maina said in a statement on Wednesday that the published list had an unintended error.

According to sources in the DP's office, he was enraged that some of the people he entrusted with the party's business didn't appear to comprehend the spirit of the party.

Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar, economist David Ndii, and political analyst Edward Kisiangani, were among those left out in the list, although they have been DP Ruto's vocal leaders who have been spearheading his marketing strategies.

It will now be waited to be seen how the new list will appear and those who will be included.
