The move by Azimio to halt Protests was one that was rather unprecedented considering the fact that it happened only hours after a statement has been issued by the same Azimio that they will be continuing with the protests on Thursday.
The unexpected move that happened only hours after the protests has been raising speculations, with many left guessing as to what could have happened behind the scenes that led to the move. Popular Azimio blogger Gabriel Oguda has spilled the beans on what might have transpired behind the scenes that Kenyans were not aware.
Through his official Twitter page, Gabriel Oguda revealed how the Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa wrote a letter to Azimio after protests begging them to halt Demonstrations and consider dialogue.
''After carefully studying the contents of the teary letter Kimani Ichungwa wrote begging Azimio to return to bilateral talks, tomorrow's Maandamano has been called off to allow UDA side wash their handkerchiefs and save Rigathi Gachagua's photographer from being rained on.''
In a move that was also unexpected from the Kenya Kwanza side, they decided to replace Jubilee Member of Parliament Adan Kaynan with UDA Member of Parliament Hon. Dido Riso.
Azimio who called off the protests did however state that they will not hesitate to resume protests should their demands not be met. Share your thoughts about this article on the comment section below and also don't forget to like and share the article.
