Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has revealed that his candidate in the Juja By-election has been summoned three times by Director of Criminal Charges. George Koimburi of People's Power Empowerment, has had trips to the DCI offices in the past months.
The Deputy President William Ruto's top ally, Moses Kuria, revealed that Mr Koimburi was either summoned for putting up his posters or because of 'the colour of his underpants.'
"The People’s Empowerment Party candidate for Juja Hon George Koimburi is at the Juja DCI offices recording various statements for the third day in a row. If its not about why he is putting up posters, its about the colour of his underwear." He wrote in a post on Facebook.
He added that all this are happening because of political reasons but he is upbeat that his candidate is upto task in the upcoming by-election.
Juja constituency felt vacant after the death of Francis Munyua alias Wakapee who died who succumbed to brain cancer on February 22nd.
13 aspirants are set to lock horns in the area including Wakapee's widow Susan Njeri who won Jubilee nomination party ticket. The election is slated for May 18th.
