Economic times are still biting hard and with some parents not being able to give the basic needs the shoes as a part of the school uniform will ease up the burden a little bit.

In his post, the legendary legislator wrote saying, "Today we have issued school going children from PP1-Grade 3 in 15 public schools within Starehe Constituency that is Mukuru Primary, Mariakani, Nairobi South, St.Catherine, City Primary, Moi Avenue, River Bank, Pangani, Juja Road, Racecourse, Muslim, Dr. Aggrey, Pumwani, Park Road, Starehe ECDE, with a total number of 5,000 shoes with a focus to those from the informal settlement areas."

The MP thanked Bata Kenya for the support and for making it possible for such pupils to have long lasting shoes.
