7 policemen have been arrested in Uganda after assaulting journalists on Wednesday while covering Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine of the National Unity Platform party who was delivering his petition to the Human Rights office in Kampala.
The incident which resulted in injuring journalists estimated to be ten in number, happened when the police tried to disperse a crowd of people that were gathering at the office of the United Nations Human Rights Council office located in Kampala.
However, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) apologized to the matter early today and said that it is "regrettable" adding that those journalists who were affected will be helped in meeting their medical bills.
